Sharon Yvonne Stone is the sole daughter born to Dorothy Lawson (an accountant) and Joseph William Stone II, an engineer and tool maker. She was also a employee of a plant. She was born on 10 March 1958in Meadville Pennsylvania. Three siblings are hers: Michael, Kelly, and Patrick. Stone was thought to be gifted academically as a child and began in second grade at the age of five. She earned a high school diploma in Saegertown in Saegertown in Pennsylvania in the year 1975. She also competed and was crowned in the Miss Pennsylvania beauty contest. Stone moved with her aunt from New Jersey, where she pursued a career in modeling. A month later, Stone signed up at the Ford Modeling Agency. After a year spent in Milan and Paris, Stone moved to Europe. Stone however became disillusioned in Europe in the modeling business and decided to move to acting. She appeared at 20 in Woody Allen's "Stardust Memories," the film which got mixed praises.
